Pagosa Springs celebrates winter activities with its Winterfest and
Balloon Rally on the second weekend in February. Enjoy the
balloon ascensions and then join in on the many winter activities.
MARCH: Pagosa
Springs turns Irish with its St. Patrick's Day Parade on March
17.
APRIL and MAY:
These two months are the quintessential "Spring in the Mountains".
Wildflowers begin to bloom and the wildlife are moving
back up into the high country while the hummingbirds begin to arrive.
Watch for deer, elk, mountain sheep and the hummingbirds.
JUNE:
Enjoy the cultural heritage of this area during the month of June when
Pagosa Springs celebrates the Spanish Fiesta.
JULY:
The Fourth of July
celebration in Pagosa Springs features a parade, picnic and fireworks.
Also included in the celebration is an Arts and Crafts festival
along the San Juan River. And the Red Ryder Rodeo
provides rodeo excitement at the Fairgrounds.
AUGUST:
The first weekend in August is reserved for the Archuleta County
Fair. Events include 4-H displays, arts and crafts, a
special food event and a demolition derby.
SEPTEMBER: Over
the Labor Day weekend, enjoy the Four Corners Folk Festival on
Reservoir Hill. Activities include music, arts and crafts, food,
and workshops. Celebrating the fall colors in the mountains of
the Southern San Juans, you can enjoy the annual Balloon Rally and
Colorfest near the end of September.
DECEMBER:
In preparation for the Christmas season, Pagosa Springs features a
Parade of Lights in which floats decorate with lights and parade
through the downtown area after dark. |
